MARGIE (NYSTROM) LOOSE
Margie (Nystrom) Loose was born May 13, 1935 in Arlington to Joe and Bertha (Zunke) Palermo. She died Nov. 29, 2012, in Carson, at the age of 77.
Margie moved to the White Salmon area as an infant, attending the White Salmon Schools. She graduated from Columbia High School in 1953.
She worked for the Department of Social and Health Services.
On July 9, 1983, Margie married Robert Loose in White Salmon.
She loved the outdoors and was an avid reader. She also loved her pets.
Margie is survived by her son Tony Morrison, Seattle; daughters Terry Lucas and Tracey Morrison, both of White Salmon; and son Joe Nystrom, Hood River, Ore. She is also survived by her granddaughter Kristie Lucas, Everett Community College, and grandsons Ryan Nystrom, Boise State College, and Evan Nystrom Central University College.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Bertha Palermo and brother Fritz Palermo.
At her husband's request, no services were held.

NANCY ROGERS
Nancy Louise McGraw Rogers, a longtime harbor resident was born in Maben, W.V., to Charles and Mildred McGraw on Jan. 22, 1939.
Nancy and Ray Rogers were married on Oct. 28, 1954, in Newton County, Mo. They had four children and lived in the White Salmon area until they moved to Aberdeen in 1977.
Nancy raised her children and was like a grandmother to many others. She loved her family, her dogs, and was an avid bowler.
Nancy is survived by her husband Ray Rogers, and children Vicki Main, Pamela Billette, and Doug Rogers. She was preceded in death by her son Ray Rogers Jr.
Nancy Rogers passed away on Dec. 26, 2012. She will be missed. A memorial is being planned for spring.

DELORES GARRETT
Delores was born in White Salmon to Ellis and Anna Breedlove on April 30, 1933. As a small child she was her dad's shadow -- loving all the baby animals.
On Feb. 15, 1950, she became the bride of Orie Garrett and to this union they had two children, Michael and Sherry, who were her pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her father Ellis Breedlove, mother Anna Breedlove, sister Lorraine Howard and brother Delbert Breedlove.
She loved the Lord and once she found out she had cancer was anxious to go be with Jesus. Delores passed away in Hood River on Dec. 31, 2012, at the age of 79.
She is survived by Orie, her husband of 62 years; daughter Sherry Esch; son Michael Garrett and sister Marion Torrey.
Mrs. Garrett was buried in the White Salmon Cemetery and a memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Stevenson.
Gardner Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

RAY KRALL
Ray Lee Krall, 75, passed away at his home in Carson on Dec. 30, 2012. He was born in White Salmon on Oct. 28, 1937, to Rose Marie (Gilligan) and Delbert Homer Krall.
Ray graduated from Lyle High School in 1956 and married Alice Bradshaw in White Salmon on Sept. 13 that same year.
He worked as a self-employed truck driver in the timber industry, operating Ray Krall Trucking since 1967. After his retirement, Mr. Krall focused on his hobbies which were raising cattle and working on trucks.
Family was very important to Ray.
Survivors include his wife Alice Krall of Carson; son DelRay Krall and his wife Tamra of Carson; daughters Kelly Cummings and her husband Larry of Carson and Nicki Ann Bjork and her husband Kevin of Bend, Ore.; brother Ed Krall of Goldendale; sisters Sharon Thomas of Stevenson, Karen Jasperson of Lyle, Sheila Richards of Spokane and Jackie Foster of Goldendale; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Darlene Norland.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Carson.

MARY (DALLAS) SAYER
Mary Ellen Sayer passed away in Hood River, Ore., on Jan. 2, 2013, at the age of 77. She was born at the family home in White Salmon on Dec. 20, 1935, to Edith Emma (Collins) and James Samuel Dallas.
On April 18, 1980, she married Thomas J. Sayer in Stevenson.
Mary enjoyed hobbies such as quilting, painting, ceramics and sewing. She also liked camping, fishing, doing crossword puzzles and participating in choir.
Mary was a member of the Sweet Adelines.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Sayer, of White Salmon; sisters Helen Woodings of Palmer, Alaska, Dorothy Gasner of Summit, Ore., and Patricia Benjamin of Goldendale; brothers Russell Dalles of White Salmon and Norman Dallas of Oregon City, Ore.; children David McDonald of Camas, Sam McDonald of Seattle, Lester McDonald of White Salmon, Lynda Lay of Molalla, Ore., and Darrell McDonald of White Salmon; step children Gina Hoggan of Vancouver, Michelle Sayer-Holmes of Snowden, Pam Sayer of Ocean Park, and Thomas Sayer of Vancouver; 22 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service followed by a potluck reception will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mary Sayer Memorial Fund at Sterling Savings Bank, Hospice of the Gorge or the Hood River Quilters' Guild.
