Margaret White
Margaret Loraine White, a resident of Dee, Ore., passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, 2005 at the Hood River Care Center. She was 71 years of age.
A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Sunday, Nov. 6 at the Hood River Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was a member. Pastor Pat Milligan will officiate.
Margaret was born May 14, 1934, in Upland, Calif., to Robert Paul and Martha Christina (Wilhelm) Robertson.
On Oct. 16, 1954 she and Lester Kenneth White, Jr. were married. They settled in Southern California, moving to Hood River in 1990.
Margaret's main concern in life was being the best wife, mother and homemaker that she could be.
She had many health problems throughout her life. She was a strong-willed woman determined not to let them tie her down, which was inspiring to those around her.
Margaret enjoyed reading, cooking, animals, word puzzles, crafts, camping, and life itself.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Jeffrey, and sister-in-law Barbara White.
Survivors include her husband, Lester, of Hood River, and son David and his wife, Lori, of Dee, Ore., daughter Loraine and her husband, Randy Van Woert, of Dee, son Frank of Yacolt, Wash. and daughter in law Jana White of Portland, Ore.
Also surviving are three grandchildren: Danielle and her husband, Josh Dean, of Salem, Ore.; Tony and Andrea of Portland; Billy of Portland, and one great-grandchild, Koby White of Portland.
She is also survived by brother Bob Robertson and his wife, Polly of Troutdale, Ore.; sister Joan Schwartz of Apple Valley, Calif.; brother Veldon Johnson of Arizona, sister June Burton of Sparks, Nev.; brothers in law and their wives, Ray and Dorothy White of Riverside, Calif.; Glenn and Sandy White of Keizer, Ore. and Harold White of Chehalis, Wash.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital Foundation/Diabetes Education Department, c/o Anderson's Tribute Center (Funerals - Receptions - Cremations), 1401 Belmont Hood River, OR 97031.
In lieu of cut flowers, potted plants are welcome.
Kimberly Casey
Kimberly Ann Casey of Tigard died Oct. 27, 2005. She was 38 years old.
Kimberly Cordero was born April 23, 1967 in Petaluma, Calif. She moved to Oregon in 1981 and lived in Hood River for 15 years. She moved to Portland in 1996.
She married Randy D. Casey in 2000. She worked as a postal carrier and was later promoted to postal clerk.
She is survived by her husband, Randy, and her children, Jessica Chavez and Andrew D. Casey.
She is also survived by her mother, Marcia F. Cordero, and sisters Carmen Cordero, Bethany Schelb, Jewilie Cordero, Connie Benefield, Shirley Kitchell, Evelyn Ortiz, and Teri Baldwin.
She is also survived by her brothers, Michael, Joe, Bob, Steve, and Paul Cordero.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. on Oct. 30 at Mt. Scott Funeral Home, 59th and Foster, Portland, Ore.
Arrangements are by Mt. Scott Funeral Home.
