Library celebrates holidays with 33rd annual Wassail

Friends of the Library will provide a delicious array of sweet and savory refreshments along with their traditional hot Wassail punch to help celebrate the holiday season.

Local fiber artists from the Northwest Regional Spinning Association will be demonstrating spinning, knitting and other fiber techniques. Children are invited to enjoy their creative side with a variety of hands-on Holiday Crafts throughout the afternoon. Well-known local artist, Bonnie White, will be showing Transparent Watercolors, an exhibit of works inspired by our local area, from Trout Lake to Goldendale in the library's Sprint/Baker Gallery during the Wassail and throughout the month of December.

The music lineup this year will start with White Salmon pianist Diane Allen at 1:30 p.m. Allen will be playing a variety of seasonal standards and a selection of her personal favorites with the public is invited to join in our traditional holiday sing-a-long.

The Fourth Dimension, singing Harmony Holiday Carols, will entertain from 2 to 2:30 p.m. The dynamic quartet features: Kristin Reese, lead; Nola Hardman, tenor; Christie Wilcox, barrie; and Rhonda Smith, bass. Their beautiful a cappella harmony will truly get you into the Holiday mood.

Perennial favorites Connie and Rich Dunnington on fiddle and guitar will be featured from 2:30 to 3 p.m.

Piano music and sing-a-longs will continue until 4 p.m.
