The Hood River Saddle Club is hosting a series of barrel racing events for local equestrian lovers.
The first is a clinic on May 6, starting at 8 a.m. at the HRSC’s outdoor arena on Belmont Drive. The clinic, which will feature top-notch rider and instructor Judee Hagen, is meant to improve horsemanship and barrel racing skills. Riders of all skill levels are welcome but space is limited for the clinic.
The second event is a series of barrel races at the HRSC, starting on May 10 and running on four separate dates into June. The races are for more experienced riders looking for some fun and friendly local competition.

registration deadline is April 22.

How much: $125 for non HRSC members, $105 for members, $25 spectator fee.

Weeknight Barrel Races —
What: Barrel racing
When: May 10 and 24, June 7 and 21; starts at 7 p.m., time- only runs start at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Hood River Saddle Club at 4384 Belmont Drive.
How much: Open $40, 2500 Novice $30, 1000 Novice $25, 4-D $40 run/roll, Junior (14 and under) $15.
