The Dalles Art Association will be hosting its 44th annual Benefit Art Auction, "Harvest of Art," on Nov. 10 at the Civic Auditorium Ballroom.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for people to begin the silent auction, listen to live music by the Goldendale Baroque Trio, and enjoy an array of hors d'oeuvres. There will also be a no host bar.
The oral auction starts at 8 p.m., with Jake Grossmiller as auctioneer and J. Thomas Coats, emcee. About 50 local artists have donated a wide assortment of art works in many different media. There are paintings, pottery, glass work, sculpture, quilting and more. In addition, there are several non-art items donated by businesses and individuals.
Proceeds from the auction will support the ongoing operations of The Dalles Art Center and benefit the center's handicap access fund.
Tickets are $15 each or two for $25 and are available at Klindt's Booksellers, The Dalles chamber, the Art Center and at the door.
