Country Christian scored eight of its 12 fourth-quarter points from the foul line to pull out a 36-34 come-from-behind victory over Glenwood in the girls consolation game of last weekend's Snowball Tournament in Arlington, Ore.
The Eagles (1-4) led 25-11 at halftime and 27-24 after three quarters but couldn't hold on.
Senior Kayleigh King's 15 points paced Glenwood, which also got seven from senior Samantha Sutterlict and six from sophomore Ashley Brasuell.
Country Christian, of Molalla, Ore., outscored Glenwood, 14-4, from the free-throw line, attempting 22 shots there compared to the Eagles' nine.
Arlington 38, Glenwood 16 --
The Eagles made only eight field goals and missed all three of their free-throw attempts during their semifinal loss to the host Honkers last Friday.
Kayleigh King, Ashley Brasuell and freshman Dave'y Lumley each scored four points for Glenwood, which trailed 12-4 after one quarter, 19-6 at halftime and 30-8 at the end of three.
In the other semifinal, Bickleton senior Annie Hess had 21 points and 19 rebounds to lead the Pirates past Country Christian's Cougars, 41-26.
