Jack and Marilyn Brase are moving to Iowa and will be leaving June 22. Good for them, sad for us. A farewell potluck will be held in their honor Monday, June 17, at 6:00 p.m. in the school's multipurpose room. Drinks and table settings will be provided and you bring a dish to add to the fare. This will be the last chance for most of us to see the Brases, so be there to say goodbye. For more information, call Ruth Belieu, 395-2712, or Judy Smith, 395-2174.
The community's sympathy goes out to Stan Rapp and his family for the loss of Roselyn. What a tragic loss for her family and all of us.
For those of you who missed Adam Paxson's concert, you MISSED a concert. He plays remarkably well. Dave took lessons and played violin into his late teens, so he has a good ear for music, and he said that Adam is a remarkable pianist. Thank you, Adam, for playing for us. And thank you, Jill Minnik for teaching Adam so well. And the Steinway was a great addition, although, I'd bet that Adam could make a toy piano sing.
Saturday Market time is almost here. Yay! Our summer social gathering place. Lots of homemade things to buy for gifts or for yourself, homemade bread and sweets (my personal favorite) and many other attractions. PLUS the chance to visit with neighbors. For more information, call Betty Schmid, 395-2679.
I know I told you I was going to write about baseball and track, but I haven't been able to connect with any of the coaches. Sorry.
I planted tomato plants and other vegetables yesterday, so I expect it will freeze this week. I'll keep you posted!
