Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Allen on the arrival of their daughter, Miranda Grace, on Nov. 5. She weighed in at 6 pounds 7 ounces and was 20 inches long. Miranda will join her brother, Jacob, in her new home in Glenwood.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Skip Burril, who is in the St. Vincent Hospital recovering from a heart repair surgery.
Sympathy goes to the Gimlin family in the passing of Bill Gimlin of Mabton. His service was held on Friday, Nov. 8, in Grandview with burial in Mabton.

All students at Glenwood Schools observed Veteran's Day by attending an assembly based on who protects our freedom on Nov. 7. The cheerleaders posted and retired the colors, the band played "Star Spangled Banner" and the "American Spirit Overture." Jeremy Beeks and Eric Sinor demonstrated the folding of the American flag. Dan Smith, the social studies teacher, did a power point presentation on the past wars. Leslie Steinbach, associated student body president, introduced the guest speaker Naval Petty Officer Duffy of The Dalles, Ore.
