Combining a manic, honky-tonk piano, screaming fiddle, circus banjo, a rock solid rhythm section, lightning fast melodies, and four part vocal harmonies, Cold Mountain creates an innovative sound with a polished punch. The experimental way in which Cold Mountain uses traditional instruments in non-traditional ways has garnished attention on the club and festival scene both nationally and around the Northwest. Everyone agrees that the band’s improvisational energy matched with a stellar stage presence displays a quality performance.
With countless original tunes, and songwriting by all five members, a high-energy, improvisational show spans a wide array of genres from Bluegrass to Hip-Hop, Celtic to Rock and Roll, and appeals to music lovers of all ages. A Cold Mountain show often lasts three to four hours. The dedication to technical excellence by all band members shines through both on stage and in the studio. Through constant touring and relentless practice, Cold Mountain has been able to build a national fan base and play with many great artists.
