Cell tower dispute back before county

DRAWINGS show a proposed cell tower near Hood River Valley High School. The issue of whether to permit the tower rose to the state land use board of appeals, and now heads back to Hood River County due to a recent decision by LUBA to remand part of the case.

The conflict over a proposed 100-foot cell tower in west Hood River has resurged.

The Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals issued a final order March 15 sending part of the case back to Hood River County Board of Commissioners for another round of deliberation.
