There will be “Pie in the Sky” when the annual Huckleberry Festival convenes in Daubenspeck Park in Bingen this weekend, Sept. 11, 12, and 13.
Activities and events start Friday night at 6 p.m. with the annual talent show, followed by the Mexican Norteno music group Antifaz at 8.
The day starts out right on Saturday with the 50th annual Firemen’s Breakfast on Saturday morning from 6 to 10 a.m. at the White Salmon Fire Hall.
After a hearty breakfast head to Bingen where the parade starts at 11 a.m. Grand marshals Alan and Karen Patrick will be on hand, waving to all their friends.
Musical entertainment starts again on the stage at noon with Harmony of the Gorge. The last act of the day begins at 9 p.m. with Instruments of the Now fire dancers.
Sunday entertainment begins at noon and concludes for the weekend at 3 p.m. with Huggie and The Bears.
Throughout the weekend, the park will be filled with food and craft booths and a beer garden. There will also be childrens’ games. Don’t forget to visit the bratwurst booth and the huckleberry pie booth.
