In a Blue Mountain Conference doubleheader played Saturday in Culver, the Rangers rapped out 27 hits and 25 runs in wins by scores of 5-1 and 20-8 for a sweep.
Bailey Keever had two hits, scored two runs and drove in four runs, as the Rangers erased a 1-0 deficit with a two-run fifth and a three-run sixth for a 5-1 opening-game triumph.
Nick Little and Connor Uhalde tacked on two hits each, Bryson Caldwell had a hit and an RBI, and Kolbe Bales received a walk and scored a run for a Dufur team that posted seven hits and went 5 for 5 on stolen base attempts.
On the mound, Trever Tibbets tossed a complete-game four-hitter with nine strikeouts.
Little, Uhalde, Bales, Jake Kortge and Tibbets had three hits apiece and Dufur broke open a 6-4 lead with four runs in the fourth inning, three in the fifth and seven runs in the sixth inning to lead by as much as 20-4 at one point.
Tibbets had three doubles in his six at-bats with three runs and four RBIs, Kortge scored three runs and the duo of Little and Uhalde combined for six runs and five RBIs.
Caldwell picked up his team-high seventh win of the season in the nightcap with six innings of eight-hit ball.
The senior right-hander allowed eight runs, four earned and struck out six.
