Tonkin and Subaru of America awarded Home At Last Humane Society in The Dalles with a donation during the Cherry Festival downtown The Dalles.
During the “Share the Love” event held at the end of each year, Subaru of America donates $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased. Customers who purchase or lease a vehicle during that period select a charity to receive the donation.
Home At Last partnered with Tonkin Subaru of The Dalles for the event.
Through the generosity of the Subaru customers, Scott Sidell, Tonkin Subaru General Manager, presented a check for over $6,000 to Diana Bailey, Home At Last Board President.
“We are very pleased to be a part of the good work being done by the staff and many community volunteers at Home at Last” said Sidell.
“Theirs is special work that should never go unrecognized in the community. It was great local support from our Gorge Subaru customers that made this possible.”
Home at Last is a private, non-profit humane society caring for hundreds of animals each year and striving to ensure that no companion animal is killed because it has no place to call home.
