It might seem hard to believe that at this point of the season a game could be considered must win, but that’s probably what The Dalles High Riverhawks were facing in a Class 5A Intermountain Conference softball matchup against the Ridgeview High Ravens on Friday.
The undefeated South Wasco County High Redsides continued their fabulous start to the Class 1A boys basketball season as their win streak reached seven following a 75-20 Big Sky League victory over the Klickitat/Glenwood High Vandals Saturday at Klickitat High School.

The Dalles girls basketball team went into Tuesday’s contest versus 6A Barlow as a major underdog. After trailing by a 17-2 margin in the first quarter, the Riverhawks outscored Barlow 27-22 over the final three quarters and inched to within an eight-point deficit with possession of the ball late in the fourth quarter, but could not execute down the stretch in a 42-29 loss.
