The winning town in the Small Business Revolution’s voting competition, in which The Dalles competed with four other towns to be the featured town of the fifth season of its business revitalization program, will be announced at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, and a watch party will be held at The Dalles Civic Auditorium as the winner is declared.
Doors open at 4:30, with snacks and a no host bar in the community room.

Windows on Christmas—The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas Window display contest winners were announced following the Starlight Parade Nov. 29.
Oregon author Judith Montgomery will perform a reading at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 18, at The Dalles Art Center. Montgomery has been awarded numerous prizes for her poetry. Her collection, Passion, was the 2000 Oregon Book Award winner. Her reading will be followed by a community open mic. Event is free. Readings are planned every third Thursday.
