Gorge Baseball had a busy two weeks with a handful of games to close out June. Coach Mike Muehlbauer’s squad returns to action this week with a single game Friday against the 16U Columbia Gorge Hustlers in The Dalles at 6 p.m.

Last season, there weren’t many schools that gave the HRV boys soccer team much trouble, except one.

In an energetic battle between the state’s top two ranked teams, senior forward Jaime Frias made a speedy run up the center of the field, took a perfect through-ball from midfielder Diego Rueda, outran two defenders in chase and made a quick dribble around a charging Summit goalie for an open shot at the net.
