The Columbia River Gorge enthusiast, mycologist and Hood River educator shared an abundance of fungal facts and woodsy wisdom at the Columbia Center for the Arts on Nov. 12 — the second lecture in Mt. Adams Institute’s Sense of Place Season 16.

Commentary: In partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Glenwood-based nonprofit Mt. Adams Resource Stewards (MARS) introduced the Bullfrog Removal Action Team (BRAT) program in 2020 to attempt to reverse the steep decline of native Oregon spotted frogs in the Glenwood Valley.Â
