For the past few years, Tammy Richman vowed to hang up her concessions apron for good. But, there are several forces pulling and tugging her back. Richman received recognition from The Dalles Little League board members for her 15 years of volunteerism and broke the seal on the 2017 campaign by throwing out the first pitch.

TD Little League baseball festivities honor local youths Kramer Field will be the Mecca of baseball starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, as The Dalles little League is set to kick off festivities for the 2013 campaign. Through the next few months, boys and girls of all ages will take part in exhilarating moments on the diamond.
Getting a Little League season up and running takes a lot of time and a lot of hands. Many of those hands — more than 100 — were in action for the annual field maintenance day Saturday, March 16, at Kramer Fields. They pulled weeds, raked base paths, manicured grass lines, cleaned up dugouts and did other general maintenance as needed.
The Dalles Babe Ruth baseball is holding its final signup day for local kids from the ages of 12-15 starting from 5:30-7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 at Quinton Street Ballpark. Cost is $90 for the first child and $75 for additional family members. Any signups after this date will be assessed an additional $20 fee. Parents are to bring a copy of birth record.
