Share this article paywall-free Email Copy Link This week, Kramer Field is the hot spot for The Dalles Little League supremacy, as minors and majors city championships are on the line.By looking at the scores from Monday’s slate, three games were played and the average margin of victory was 1.67 runs on the scoreboard.Two of the games were decided by one run.Through one evening of play in the majors division, the Cubs slipped past the Cardinals by a 6-5 score to keep their season going.On the minors side of the bracket, the Yankees and Orioles engaged in a slugfest where 33 runs were put on the board.The Yankees, a No. 4 seed, pulled off a dramatic 17-16 victory over the No. 5-seeded Orioles.The Pirates added another minors win to their record on Monday with a 13-10 winner over the Phillies.With those setbacks, the Orioles and Phillies each had their seasons cut short.There are three games scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight, with the No. 1-seeded Giants facing off against the Cubs on Field 1 in majors play.On Field 2, the minors game on tap pits the No. 1 D-Backs hitting the diamond opposite of the No. 4 Yankees.The No. 3 Reds are in action as well versus the No. 6 Red Sox starting at 5:30 p.m. on Field 3.At 6 p.m. Wednesday, the No. 2 White Sox play the No. 3 Athletics.The majors championship takes place at 1:30 p.m. on Field 1.After Tuesday’s minors doubleheader, the No. 2 Pirates take on the Reds-Red Sox winner at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on Field 2.The minors championships start off at 10:30 a.m. Saturday on Field 1.
