The Dalles High Riverhawks (2-7) won their first home game of the season, 4-3, over the Milwaukie High Mustangs (2-4) April 1 at Quinton Street Ballpark.

It was a bounce-back game for the Hawks, who regained some much-needed confidence following a 13-8 loss at home to the Class 6A Forest Grove High Vikings (3-4) March 29.

In three earlier tournaments, the Columbia Gorge Goats have consistently run away from their opponents with an average margin of victory of 10.3 points for three consecutive 3-on-3 tournament championships.

This past weekend at the CTGR Native Youth 3-on-3 Tournament in Grand Ronde, the Goats added two new faces and needed an overtime session to slip past DWL by a 35-32 margin on a game-winning 3-pointer from Henry Begay.

The Dalles 12U All-Stars were hoping for a better result over their week of games at the District 5 Tournament, but still salvaged a 3-2 record, with both losses to Bend North, to secure third place in the nine-team field. In those five games, TD had dominating pitching performances, comeback wins, and heroic efforts put forth by several players.
