The highest finish of Gorge teams in their respective state track and field championship meets was that of the Columbia High girls. Columbia was fifth at last month’s Class 1A state meet at Eastern Washington University in Cheney. The Bruins scored 34 team points, just missing out on a team trophy.
Columbia High’s girls track and field team capped its 2022 season with a third-place finish in the meet’s final event — the 4x400-meter relay — to place fifth at last weekend’s Class 1A state meet at Eastern Washington University in Cheney.
