Hood River Valley, led by individual champions Connor and Carson Farlow, wrestled to a runner-up team finish at the 19-team Pendleton Red Lion Invitational on Dec. 21 at the Pendleton Convention Center.
Senior Juan Diego Contreras and junior Leo Lemann finished 2-3 to lead The Dalles to a sixth-place finish Saturday at the Oregon City Invitational cross country meet.
The Dalles junior Juan Diego Contreras led the Riverhawk boys cross country team to sixth place with his third-place individual finish at Saturday’s Class 5A state cross country meet in Eugene.
The Hood River Valley High School Wrestling teams both took second place at their respective tournaments, the boys competing at the White Buffalo Invite in Madras and the girls at the OSAA North Regional Championship in Hillsboro.

A dominate regular season by the Hood River Valley cross country team was capped off on Wednesday, Oct. 24 in Prineville with first and second place team finishes by the HRV girls and boys at the 5A Intermountain Conference Championships.
