It must be February. The candy aisles are turning pink and red, enticing us to purchase sweets for our sweeties. It’s the month when we compose our own statements of affection or ask Hallmark for help in expressing our amorous feelings.

The Gorge Literary Journal, a new voice for writers in the Columbia Gorge, is soliciting short original works for publication. Partnering with The Hood River News, selected items will appear in a special newspaper section this summer. There is no financial remuneration for acceptance.
