Riverfront Trail Notes No. 39: Leave It To Beavers!

Much is made of the accomplishments of chimpanzees, crows, dolphins and other large animals with advanced cognitive abilities that allow them to make and use various “tools” in procurement of food and other purposes. I was surprised to find that beavers are not included on the list.
