A healthy, thriving community requires strong health care services and strong schools. Our community has an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our children and for future generations through the North Wasco School District bond Measure 33-98 and the Dufur School District bond Measure 33-97. On behalf of the Board of Trustees of Mid-Columbia Medical Center, we are asking our community members to vote “YES” for both bond measures.
We feel the successes of these bond measures are necessary to address critical needs in our schools — for our current students and those to come in the future. Bringing our outdated schools current with today’s educational and safety standards will provide enhanced learning environments and increased opportunities for all students across the districts. We also have an exceptional system of educators focused on creating experiences for our students to be successful at the next step of their journey.
As health care leaders, robust educational opportunities are an important component in recruiting and retaining new medical providers and staff to MCMC to meet the expectations of the people we serve in our communities. For the sake of our children and the vitality of our communities, we encourage a “YES” vote on M33-98 and M33-97.
