To the editor:
Over a year and a half ago, I purchased a rose bush from Parks and Recreation for the memorial garden in honor of my husband. Darrell dedicated over 48 years to this city (county) in law enforcement. I thought it only fitting that he should have a memorial in his name.
I hadn’t learned my lesson yet!
In April this year, I purchased another rose bush in honor of my mother. To this date, neither have been planted. I have called, visited and questioned why these have not been planted. I have received such excuses as: It was too late in the season, they were having trouble getting orders, there were bugs in the rose bushes…
I am so upset about all of this. I finally told them it wasn’t so much about the roses as it was about the memorial. The least they can do is make sure the names go up on the board. How difficult is that? I could buy and plant my own rose bushes if that was all I wanted.
I was just wondering if anyone else was having this problem?
