To the editor: Over a year and a half ago, I purchased a rose bush from Parks and Recreation for the memorial garden in honor of my husband. Darrell dedicated over 48 years to this city (county) in law enforcement. I thought it only fitting that he should have a memorial in his name. I hadn’t learned my lesson yet!
