To the editor:
I would like to extend my warmest appreciation to the Loyal Order of Moose lodge 2075 in The Dalles for hosting a benefit dinner for Friends of Girl Scouts last week. Thank you also to everyone who came out and purchased tickets and had a meal or donated time and funds.
The fundraiser supports utilities and maintenance for the Girl Scout House, through the non-profit organization Friends of Girl Scouts The Dalles (FoGS).
The Girl Scout house, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1940s, has been a safe meeting place for Scouts for at least 50 years, and currently provides space for four troops and over 35 members and volunteers.
Thank you to the Loyal Order of the Moose, The Dalles, for helping keep the lights on and supporting the growth of our girls into leaders of tomorrow!
