Wasco Co. gives green light to Mosier rail project

Wasco County has given a green light to Union Pacific Railroad’s expansion plans for the Mosier area. On Sept. 26, the Wasco County Planning Commission voted 5-2 to approve the railroad’s “Mosier Double Track Extension” project, although there are multiple conditions attached to the approval.

To the editor: I would like to extend my warmest appreciation to the Loyal Order of Moose lodge 2075 in The Dalles for hosting a benefit dinner for Friends of Girl Scouts last week. Thank you also to everyone who came out and purchased tickets and had a meal or donated time and funds.
