Our last full month of summer is here. Even though it is warm, days are getting shorter and nights longer. At the start of August, sunrise comes at 5:49 a.m., with sunset at 8:34 p.m. By Aug. 31, sunrise will move up to 6:26 a.m., with sunset at 7:44 p.m. We lose almost an hour and a half of daylight — and gain that much in night skies.
