Spring seems like the perfect time for United Way of the Columbia Gorge to kick off its 2014 allocations process. For many, the new life that these much-needed funds bring to local agencies mirrors the essence of the season.

“We are excited to be able to increase our allocations by $30,000 over last year,” said Dave Scarborough, president of UWCG. “Unfortunately, there’s still a discrepancy between what is needed and what we can provide, but every year we get closer to closing the gap.”
