Seasonally adjusted unemployment held steady through June — Hood River County remained statewide champion with a 4.3 percent ranking as Oregon’s lowest county, and Wasco County’s 5.3 percent weighed in at seventh place.

Non-farm employment rose by 190 jobs in Hood River County to total 10,460 in June, according to an Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries report. Accommodation and food services led Hood River County, rising by 150 jobs to total 1,700. Manufacturing gained 30 jobs to reach 1,660 and local government also gained 30 to total 1,160.
