ReBuild-It Center hosts open house April 20
HOOD RIVER — The Gorge Rebuild-It Center (GRC) is now accepting nominations for the 11th annual Tod J. LeFevre Sustainability Champion Awards, which celebrates people and businesses who are working on innovative, creative solutions to the environmental, economic and social issues facing the Gorge. The GRC will present the awards to one individual, one business and one youth at the Gorge ReBuild-It Center Grand Reopening/Earth day celebration April 20.
Nominations will be accepted until April 10. To nominate one individual, one youth and/or an organization, go to www.rebuildit.org or contact Julie Tucker at director@rebuildit.org.
The GRC is a 501c3 non-profit and has been a resource in the Gorge community since 2003. After 21 years, the GRC continues to accept donated, usable building materials and home goods and sell them at affordable prices.
“As we unveil the improvements made to our facility, including a new concrete floor, the Jewels B Garden Shed, a redesigned yard layout and donation/intake area, we are also excited to continue the tradition of presenting the Tod J. LeFevre Sustainability Awards,” said a press release.
