Cristian Galvez takes his oath from Mayor Blackburn as a new member of the HRPD.

Cristian Galvez was sworn-in as a new Hood River police officer on Nov. 12 at the city council meeting. After eight years in the National Guard and time in Portland serving as security for federal buildings, Galvez hopes to retire with Hood River. He lives in The Dalles with his wife and two children.
