The US government has revealed an image of a floating blob "UFO" among newly released declassified UFO files on potential alien sightings.
The US Department of War (DOW) published the third release of "declassified and historical" Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) — or UFO — files on Friday (12/6).
The stand-out entry is an "artistic interpretation" of a 2022 report of an unusual object in the sky.
The DOW said the incident was "potentially involving unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) reported near Colorado Springs, Colorado."

They explain: "This image is derived from the first-hand narrative description contained in 'FBI-UAP-D002, FD-1057, Unresolved UAP Report, Colorado Springs, 2022'."
The US Department of War said on Friday: "As the unprecedented levels of interest in both this topic and the Trump administration's historic transparency effort continue, war.gov/ufo has received over 1.7 billion hits worldwide since the site's launch on May 8, 2026.
"The Department of War and our agency partners are actively working on the next release of UAP files."
