A man holds his phone above a blue tarp closing the access to Largo Maradona in the Spanish quarters of Naples

Disgruntled merchants have blocked off the famous Maradona Square in Naples, preventing tourists and visitors from glimpsing the gigantic mural of the Argentine footballer, in a row over bureaucracy.

Large blue plastic tarps were stretched across the square in the city's Spanish Quarters on Thursday.
