Klickitat County Republicans will hold its Republican Precinct Caucuses Saturday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. The Precinct Caucuses occur every four years in order to elect delegates and alternates to the County Convention and to discuss issues pertinent to the Republican Platform for Klickitat County.
“This next election cycle is critical,” said Lisa Evans, chair of the Klickitat County Republicans and vice chair for the Washington State GOP. “We have very diverse candidates for both the governor’s race and for U.S. president. It is vital that we hear from the grassroots voter in person on who they would like to see leading our state and nation for the next four years. The whole state of Washington will be holding their Precinct Caucuses at the exact same date and time. In Klickitat County, our focus is community, conversations, and carrying our voice to the state.”
Any registered voter who is willing to state, by signing a registration form and a Precinct Caucus Participation Form, that they consider themselves a Republican and will not participate in the 2024 caucus or convention of any other party are eligible to attend.
The locations of the Caucuses are precinct dependent. A voter may check with the auditor’s office if they are unsure of their precinct.
Voters from the Aldercreek, Centerville, Columbus, Pine Forest, Roosevelt, Woodland, Orchard Heights, Alderdale and Goldendale 1, 2, and 3 precincts will meet at the Goldendale Grange, 340 Darland Drive, Goldendale.
Voters from East Klickitat, Lyle, North Dalles, West Klickitat, Wishram, Appleton, east Lyle, River, and High Prairie will meet at the High Prairie Community Center, 701 Struck Road, Lyle.
The westside precincts of Fruit Valley, Glenwood, Husum, Mountain Brook, north Fruit Valley, Trout Lake, Bingen, White Salmon, and north White Salmon will meet at the Pioneer Center, 501 NE Washington St., White Salmon.
