Contributed drawingTHE DALLES — Wasco County Historical Society hosts the first presentation of its summer series, “King of Roads,” on Saturday, June 8 at the Moody/Rorick House, 300 W. 13th St., The Dalles beginning at 11 a.m. The presentation will be in the backyard of the historic home, and lawn chairs are welcome.
The event is free to attend, and refreshments will be served.
Jeanette Kloos, president of the Friends of the Historic Columbia River Highway, will give an update on the progress of reconnecting the existing and reconstructed segments along the century-old historic Columbia River highway from Troutdale to The Dalles.
