Oscar Stenberg III takes a break between classes at Horizon Christian School Tuesday with Delia Skakel, left, and Olivia Nickson, both members of his Earth Sciences class. Stenberg retired from teaching this week after a 42-year career, most of it at the Hood River private school. For Stenberg, his last official duty will be as speaker at Horizon’s commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. June 8. His son, Stephen, Horizon Class of 2007, will be keynote speaker.
