The proceedings are set to music as Hood River Middle School presents “The Big Bad Musical: A Howling Courtroom Comedy” this weekend.
Anna Eckert directs the large cast of students, in a diverse collection of fairy tale roles, featuring Bridgette Johnson as Big Bad Wolf and Anna Southalll as Little Red Riding Hood. Book is by Alec Strum and music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur.
Performances are Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Hood River Middle School auditorium.
Tickets cost $4 for students and $6 for adults if purchased from a student in the show or at the HRMS front desk, and $10 at the door for everyone.
Also in the cast: Norah Baker as Sydney Grimm; Lucy Hager as Fairy Godmother; Erin Decker as Grandmother Hood; Vivian Cortes, Bailey Frasier and Avery Walker as the Three Little Pigs; Max Mitchell as Bill Woodcutter; Georgia Tate as Shepherd; John Beckman as The Boy Who Cried Wolf; Kaylee Bruce, Lelu Branch, Madison Klapprich and Dulce Najera as the Wolfettes; Noble Williams as Judge Wise Old Man; Lily Wyers and Evil Stepmother and Phoebe Wood as Miss Muffit.
In the ensemble are Allison Hjermstad, Maggie Castillo, Yazzy Mayo, Stella Lee, Vanessa Juarez, Jennevee Grajeda, Savannah Moring, and Lauraine Smith.
