HOOD RIVER — The Hood River Valley boys distance medley relay team members added their names to the top of the school’s all-time performance list, and junior distance runner Syl Perrin was part of two No. 3 all-time HRV marks in track and field last week.

Perrin ran the 3000-meters in a personal best 10 minutes, 21.39 seconds and then ran a leg on the Eagle distance medley relay at the May 9 Dean Nice Invitational in Gresham. The team of Perrin, Hazel Haspela, Katie Godkin, and Savina Davis ran 12:59.02 to finish second to Crescent Valley.
The Eagle boys distance medley (4000 meters) team of Kai Wagner, Solomon Parson, Sam Knoll, and Logan King ran 10:27.87, which is the fastest time in school history by 20 seconds. Their hand-timed splits were 3:09 1200 (Wagner), 53.4 400 (Parson), 2:05.4 800 (Knoll), and 4:20 1600 (King).
Sophomore Wyeth Droege ran the 110-meter hurdles in a personal best 16.02 and the 300 hurdles in 43.5 (PR). He also cleared 5-10 in the high jump. Teammate Francisco Solberg cleared 13-0 in the high jump, and Jack Miller threw the javelin 162-10. HRV throwers Omar Sedano and Angel Carabantes Chavarria both surpassed 40 feet in the shot put and 122 feet in the discus. Sprinter Matt Trickey ran a PR 23.57 200 and an 11.62 100.
HRV had some other notable personal bests. Sadie Baumann and Uma Carosella ran lifetime bests in their girls 400 heats of 1:04.5 and 1:05.58, respectively. Lilah Tactay threw a PR 91-8.5 in the girls discus.
