The Hood River Valley girls wrestling team competed in the popular Northwest Duals wrestling competition over winter break, winning three of seven matches.

The two-day tourney Dec. 28-29 at the Linn County Fairgrounds in Albany pitted schools against each other in dual matches. Hood River gave up a number of points to opponents who could fill more of the 13 weight classes, but the Eagles who competed did admirably, helping the team to wins over Centennial, North Eugene, and Cleveland.
