Exactly 32 days after his reinstatement by Bingen Civil Service Commission according to conditions given in its decision, Bingen Police Chief Ken White once again terminated officer Marvin Gene Collier.

Collier was originally terminated from the Bingen department Feb. 24. According to a letter signed by White and Mayor Charles B. Long, Collier was terminated for failure to comply with the police policy emergency response time of 15 minutes, required seven days a week. — White Salmon Enterprise, May 3, 1984
