HOOD RIVER — Over the two-day reunion of the Hood River Valley High School class of 1973 Aug. 25-26, 83 classmates met at one of two functions held.
The first was held at Tabby’s on Friday evening with more than 70 classmates — and about a dozen or so members from other HRV classes — in attendance.
The big event was the dinner on the butte at Van Horn where old friends, spouses, and partners gathered for dinner and conversation out-side while classic early-‘70s music played in the background, hosted by class president Luis Dominguez. Retired HRV educators Jean Harmon, Roy Nellermoe, Jeanne Farwig, Tom Greenough and Len Hickman attended both nights.
The big surprise was the return of the Wy’east Norwegian exchange student who spent four months in class with us in the fall of 1969. Sidsel Rattsø came with her Wy’east yearbook in hand to remember the many friends she made.
