WHITE SALMON — Extremist politicians repeatedly bash the nation’s most important law enforcement agency— what could possibly go wrong? Quite a lot, according to a recently published thriller, Lethal Alliance, written by White Salmon author Rick George.
George will hold author readings from his latest novel at 6:30 p.m. April 8 at the White Salmon Valley Library and 6:30 p.m. April 10 at the Goldendale Library.

Lethal Alliance is the second book of the Boyd and Abboud mystery series, featuring young FBI agent Russell Boyd and Nawar Abboud, a female Arabic interpreter. In Lethal Alliance, Boyd and Abboud go undercover to try to thwart a terrorist attack at a Seattle Mariners baseball game, only to discover that the killers are much closer to them than they ever imagined.
George, a retired principal at Henkle Middle School in White Salmon, has written four novels. Lethal Alliance reviewers unanimously give it five stars on Goodreads. “A must-read for anyone interested in suspense and political intrigue,” wrote one reviewer, while another described the book as “a thriller that could be ripped right from the front pages.”
