Wilson Takes Stand In Own Defense: Wasco County Cowboy Fails To Recognized Term Of “Buckaroo.”

Riding the range, herding cattle, learning to throw a rope and to handle a branding iron, spending a lifetime in the saddle, but somehow never hearing the term “buckaroo” until he was arrested and haled into a a court room, was the outstanding statement of Roscoe Wilson, in the local circuit court this morning. Wilson, jointly indicted with Willard Quinn for the theft of cattle from Cleve A. Hilllgen, took the witness stand in his own defense today.
