On Nov. 20, Cascade Acupuncture Center will host the film “9000 Needles” at Columbia Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m.

The film follows 40-year-old Devin Dearth who, after suffering a devastating stroke, faces dismal odds of recovery. In a desperate search for an answer, his community and family rally behind him, raising the necessary funds and support to send Devin on an unconventional journey to China where he will participate in a program which uses acupuncture and other traditional Chinese medicines to treat stroke patients.
