The beautiful Columbia River backdrop at the Best Western Hood River Inn patio was the site of the wedding ceremony for Jaclyn Rae Bryant, daughter of Terry Ray and Teri Lynne Bryant of Hood River, and Joshua Wil Duft, son of Thomas Jay and Michelle Duft of Gunnison, Colo. They were married Oct. 11, with Pastor Mike Ballah officiating.
Jesse Duft of Gunnison, Colo., was best man for his brother.
Mercedes Brown of Troutdale, Ore., a friend of the bride’s, was maid of honor.
The bride wore an elegant white long chiffon and jeweled strapless gown. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and white spider mums and trailing white orchids.
Hunter Bryant and Allison Woods, second cousins to the bride, were ring bearer and flower girl.
Makenzie Rose Bassham of Hood River sang a special song at the ceremony.
Dominique Storey coordinated a reception at the Gorge Room, with Keith Bassham as emcee. Cathy Fisher and Chavalla Lopez Bassham attended guest book. Cake Servers were the mother of the bride, Teri Lynne Bryant, and the mother of the groom, Michelle Duft, along with the bridal party: Mercedes Brown, Cassandra Joy Duft (sister of the groom), Jay Jay Soles, Libby Foelker, and Lindsey Ross; and groomsmen Jesse Duft, Jordan Duft, Noah Applegate, Austin Searle, and Jordan Bryant (brother of the bride).
Gary Fisher chauffeured the couple away for their special evening in a champagne colored '38 Ford Sedan, owned by John Schlosser.
The couple first fell in love in Belize, Central America, where both were pursuing their calling in international mission work with the organization “Youth with a Mission.”
The bride grew up in Hood River and graduated from Hood River Valley High in 2011. After obtaining a personal training degree, she began to pursue a life in missions.
The groom, who is originally from Gunnison, Colo., has been involved with international missions since graduating High School in 2011.
Theyed honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico and Belize and, after taking a year to enjoy their marriage here in the USA, plan to continue to pursue their shared dream of traveling the world as they serve God in missions.
