THE DALLES — Wasco County Sheriff’s Office was in fifth place going into bracket play toward the end of the regular season. They battled against No. 4-ranked Wasco Market, winning 6-5. The team then faced top-ranked Mid-Columbia Vision and eventually came out winners, 8-5. No. 2 ranked Camp’s Plumbing proved another challenge, but yet again, the WSCO minors team won, 8-7, in the championship game.

Brody Whitmire and Walker Kelley led the team in pitching. Whitmire racked up nine strikeouts, Kelley 14. In final games, Mason LaDouceur led the team with three hits; Kelley, Whitmire, Yalexa Valdivia picked up two hits each; Weston Cardon, Isaiah Hardin, Liam Quackenbush and Zayr Sproule each picked up a base hit.
