The Dalles softball suffers upset loss to No. 15 Scappoose

In what has to be considered as a very surprising and a stunning outcome, the No. 15-seeded Scappoose High Indians (10-16) won 2-0 in an upset over the defending OSAA Class 4A softball state champion The Dalles High Riverhawks (21-3) in a first round state playoff game Wednesday at 16th Street Ballpark in The Dalles.
